Martí Guixé

Martí Guixé was born in 1964 and works in Barcelona. He studied Interior Design in Barcelona and Industrial Design at the Scuola Polytecnica di Milano. He presents lectures and workshops internationally.

Prizes: INFAD Interior Design Medal 1985; Barcelona Design Prize 1999.
His best-known design is the 'Flamp' (1998) - a fluorescent plastic lamp based on a piece by his idol Philippe Starck. Guixé has designed products for Authentics, Galeria H2O (Barcelona), and interiors for the Camper shoe shops in London (1998), Barcelona (1998), Milan (temporary store: 10.03.2000) and New York (2000).

His solo exhibitions and performances include SPAMT, Galeria H2O, Barcelona, 1997; Grill Party at Karin Wilpert's workshop in Berlin, 1997; Berlin BARWall, installation at SSK, Berlin, 1998; Car Tyre Presentation, Galeria H2O, Barcelona, 1999; Food Tags, Palma XII, Vilafranca del Penedés, 2000; and Mart?
